By creating an account, subscribing to SFXVault Pro, downloading content, or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use, the SFXVault License, and any other policies linked from this page.

1. Definitions

“Service” means the SFXVault website, account system, membership system, subscription features, downloads, previews, and related services.

“Content” means all sound effects, background music, ASMR audio, ambience, audio packs, downloadable files, previews, text, metadata, images, descriptions, and related materials made available through the Service.

“Free Content” means content made available to users without a paid subscription.

“Pro Content” means content made available to users with an active SFXVault Pro subscription.

“User” means any person who accesses or uses the Service.

“Subscriber” means a user with an active paid subscription.

“Published Project” means a completed project that was lawfully created and published, delivered, released, uploaded, broadcast, distributed, or otherwise made publicly or commercially available during an active subscription period.

2. Nature of the Service

SFXVault provides creator-focused digital audio content, including sound effects, background music, ASMR material, ambience, and downloadable audio packs.

SFXVault content is licensed, not sold. Downloading or subscribing does not transfer copyright ownership, authorship, exclusive rights, or intellectual property rights in any Content.

Some Content may be created with the assistance of AI-based or generative tools. Regardless of the production method, all Content is provided under the license terms and restrictions described on this website.

3. Account Registration

You may need to create an account to access Free Content, Pro Content, downloads, subscription features, or other parts of the Service.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating or updating your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not share, sell, transfer, lend, sublicense, or otherwise provide your account access to another person or third party.

4. Eligibility

By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, or that you are using the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian, or authorized representative where required.

If you use SFXVault on behalf of a company, organization, client, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of that entity.

5. Free Access

SFXVault may offer selected Free Content that can be accessed without a paid subscription.

Free Content is provided under the SFXVault License unless a specific item or page states otherwise.

Free access may be changed, limited, expanded, removed, or discontinued at any time.

6. SFXVault Pro Subscription

SFXVault Pro is a paid subscription service that provides access to Pro Content while your subscription is active.

SFXVault Pro Monthly is currently offered at $5 per month unless a different price is displayed at checkout or on the registration page.

A Pro subscription gives you access to Pro downloads, including paid sound effects, BGM tracks, audio packs, and other premium content made available through the Service.

The size, structure, categories, and availability of the SFXVault library may change over time. New files may be added, and some files, packs, previews, categories, or features may be updated, replaced, removed, or reorganized.

7. Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

SFXVault Pro Monthly renews automatically every month unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

You may cancel your subscription from your account page. Cancellation stops future renewals.

After cancellation, access to Pro Content may continue until the end of the current paid subscription period.

Once the subscription period ends, Pro-only downloads and Pro access will no longer be available unless you subscribe again.

8. Payments

Payment is charged at the time of subscription registration or purchase.

Renewal payments are charged automatically according to the subscription cycle unless the subscription is cancelled before the next billing date.

Available payment methods may vary depending on your country, device, browser, currency, payment provider, and checkout environment.

You are responsible for any internet connection fees, data charges, currency conversion fees, card issuer fees, bank fees, taxes, or other costs charged by your bank, payment provider, internet service provider, or other third party.

9. Refunds

Because SFXVault provides digital content and subscription-based digital access, refunds are generally not available after purchase or after a subscription payment has been completed, except where required by applicable law.

If you experience a technical problem with a download file, account access, or purchased content, please contact us. We may review the situation and provide reasonable assistance where appropriate, such as access restoration, replacement files, or technical support.

10. Delivery of Digital Content

Digital content is generally made available after account registration and successful payment confirmation.

For subscription members, Pro downloadable content becomes available once the subscription is active.

Download links may be temporary, protected, limited, changed, or regenerated for security, technical, or access-control reasons.

11. License to Use SFXVault Audio

Your use of SFXVault audio is governed by these Terms and the SFXVault License.

Subject to these Terms and the SFXVault License, SFXVault grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use eligible Content in your creative projects.

This license allows you to incorporate SFXVault audio into completed projects, including videos, games, apps, podcasts, livestreams, trailers, advertisements, social media content, websites, presentations, client work, and other creative media, provided that the Content is used in accordance with the SFXVault License.

The audio itself remains licensed content. You do not receive copyright ownership, exclusive rights, or the right to redistribute the raw audio.

12. Commercial Use

Commercial use is permitted when SFXVault audio is incorporated into a completed project in accordance with the SFXVault License.

Commercial use may include monetized videos, games, apps, paid client projects, advertisements, livestreams, podcasts, social media content, websites, presentations, trailers, and similar creative productions.

You may not sell, distribute, or provide the Content as standalone audio files or as part of a competing audio library, sound pack, sample pack, dataset, template, or downloadable asset collection.

13. Use After Subscription Ends

If Pro Content was lawfully incorporated into a Published Project during your active subscription period, that Published Project may remain online, distributed, delivered, broadcast, or otherwise used after your subscription ends.

Once your subscription ends, you may not use previously downloaded Pro Content in any new project, new client work, new campaign, new upload, new product, newly launched media, new distribution, or materially new production.

In simple terms: completed projects made during an active subscription can stay online, but new use of Pro Content after the subscription ends requires an active subscription.

14. Client Work and Team Use

You may use SFXVault audio in client projects created during your active subscription period, provided that the audio is embedded in the completed project.

You may not transfer raw SFXVault audio files to a client for separate reuse outside the licensed project.

Editors, contractors, or team members may access SFXVault audio only to the extent necessary to work on your licensed project under your direction and control.

Team members, contractors, clients, or collaborators may not keep, reuse, redistribute, stockpile, or treat SFXVault audio as their own separate audio library.

15. Editing and Modification

You may edit SFXVault audio as needed for your production, including cutting, trimming, looping, fading, volume adjustment, pitch adjustment, layering, mixing, and other reasonable production processing.

Editing or modifying the Content does not give you ownership of the original audio or permission to resell, redistribute, upload, or claim the audio as your own standalone work.

16. Attribution

Attribution is not required unless a specific item states otherwise.

Attribution is appreciated. If you would like to credit SFXVault, you may use:

17. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • resell, redistribute, re-upload, share, transfer, sublicense, or repackage any Content as standalone files;
  • make Content available in a way that allows third parties to extract, download, copy, or reuse it as audio content;
  • publish Content as part of any sound library, music library, sound pack, sample pack, template pack, stock asset collection, dataset, or similar product or service;
  • release Content as your own standalone song, soundtrack, album track, sound effect collection, ASMR release, music single, or similar standalone audio release;
  • upload Content to music distribution services or similar platforms as your own standalone content;
  • claim ownership, authorship, exclusive rights, or exclusive enforcement rights in the Content itself;
  • register Content in YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, TikTok rights systems, Audible Magic, Pex, ACRCloud, audio fingerprint databases, or similar automated rights-management or monetization systems;
  • use Content to train, build, fine-tune, test, validate, support, or create AI, machine learning, audio-generation, dataset, or model-training systems without prior written permission from SFXVault;
  • remove, bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, download restrictions, membership restrictions, or security features;
  • use scraping, bots, automated download tools, bulk download systems, credential sharing, or similar methods to access or collect Content in a way that abuses the Service;
  • use the Service or Content for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, harmful, or prohibited purposes;
  • misrepresent your relationship with SFXVault or imply endorsement where none exists.

18. Content ID and Platform Claims

SFXVault audio is licensed on a non-exclusive basis to multiple users.

Because of this, you may not register, claim, fingerprint, monetize, or enforce SFXVault audio through YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, TikTok rights systems, Audible Magic, Pex, ACRCloud, or any similar automated copyright, rights-management, fingerprinting, or monetization system.

If you receive a copyright claim, platform dispute, monetization issue, or similar complaint involving SFXVault Content, please contact SFXVault with your account email, the relevant Content URL, your project URL, screenshots of the claim, the platform involved, and the date the issue occurred.

SFXVault may review the matter and provide reasonable support where appropriate, but we cannot guarantee that any platform will approve monetization, reject a claim, remove a restriction, or resolve a dispute in a particular way.

19. Sound Requests and User Submissions

SFXVault may allow users to submit sound requests, feedback, ideas, suggestions, category requests, descriptions, or other messages through the Service.

By submitting a request, idea, suggestion, or message, you grant SFXVault permission to review, store, use, adapt, and develop related content, packs, categories, features, or services without obligation to compensate you.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that SFXVault will create, publish, modify, or prioritize any specific sound, BGM track, category, or feature.

Please do not submit confidential, proprietary, private, or third-party rights-protected material unless you have the right to do so.

20. Intellectual Property

SFXVault and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, Content, website design, trademarks, logos, text, metadata, audio files, previews, categories, and other materials made available through the Service.

No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms or the SFXVault License.

21. Third-Party Services

SFXVault may use third-party services for payments, checkout, hosting, analytics, security, email, account management, content delivery, or other operational features.

Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, technical requirements, security checks, payment rules, or availability.

SFXVault is not responsible for delays, interruptions, fees, failures, declines, disputes, restrictions, or decisions caused by third-party services, payment providers, banks, platforms, browsers, devices, or internet service providers.

22. Service Availability and Changes

SFXVault may update, modify, reorganize, suspend, restrict, replace, remove, or discontinue any part of the Service, including Content, downloads, categories, previews, pricing, subscriptions, features, or access methods.

We may perform maintenance, security updates, technical changes, content updates, or operational changes at any time.

We do not guarantee that the Service, Content, downloads, previews, payment features, or account features will be available at all times or error-free.

23. Suspension and Termination

SFXVault may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account, subscription, access, downloads, or license if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, violated the SFXVault License, misused the Service, misused Content, shared account credentials, abused downloads, interfered with security, or engaged in unlawful or harmful conduct.

If your account is terminated for violation, your license to use Content may be revoked to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Termination or suspension does not limit any rights or remedies available to SFXVault.

24. Privacy

Your use of the Service may involve the collection and processing of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the Service, you agree that SFXVault may process information as necessary to provide accounts, downloads, subscriptions, payments, support, security, and related services.

25. No Warranty

The Service and all Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SFXVault makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, compatibility with any platform, monetization outcome, uniqueness of Content, or error-free operation.

SFXVault does not guarantee that any platform, client, marketplace, app store, social network, video platform, payment provider, or third-party service will accept, approve, monetize, distribute, publish, or continue hosting any project using SFXVault Content.

26. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SFXVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of data, loss of opportunity, reputational harm, platform restrictions, monetization loss, account restrictions, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the Service or Content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SFXVault’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service or Content shall not exceed the amount you paid to SFXVault for the Service during the one month immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

27. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SFXVault from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to:

  • your use or misuse of the Service or Content;
  • your violation of these Terms or the SFXVault License;
  • your violation of any law, regulation, platform rule, or third-party right;
  • your unauthorized redistribution, resale, upload, registration, fingerprinting, or use of Content;
  • your projects, submissions, requests, or user-provided materials.

28. Changes to These Terms

SFXVault may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated versions become effective when posted on this page unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

29. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms, the Service, or Content shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Japan, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

30. Relationship to Other Policies

The SFXVault License, Privacy Policy, and Specified Commercial Transactions Disclosure form part of the overall terms and policies governing use of SFXVault.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and the SFXVault License regarding permitted or prohibited use of audio Content, the SFXVault License will apply to audio usage unless these Terms provide stricter protection for SFXVault or its Content.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

32. No Waiver

SFXVault’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other rights.

33. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, licensing, billing, downloads, account access, or special permission, please contact SFXVault through the Contact page or email [email protected].
