This page provides a simplified summary of how you may use SFXVault audio. For full legal terms, please refer to the Terms of Use.

SFXVault audio is provided under a simple, creator-friendly license. All audio is licensed, not sold.

✅ What you CAN do

You may use SFXVault audio in commercial or non-commercial projects during an active subscription, including:

  • YouTube, Twitch, Kick, podcasts, and livestreams
  • Games, films, apps, trailers, and advertisements
  • Social media content
  • Websites and presentations
  • Client work and paid projects

You may also edit the audio as needed for your production, including:

  • cutting
  • trimming
  • looping
  • fading
  • pitch adjustment
  • layering
  • mixing
  • other reasonable production processing

You may use the audio in projects distributed on DRM-protected or otherwise locked platforms, as long as the audio is embedded in the finished project and is not made available as a standalone file.

❌ What you CAN’T do

You may not:

  • resell, reupload, redistribute, share, transfer, or repackage the audio as standalone files
  • make the audio available in any way that allows third parties to extract, download, copy, or reuse it as audio content
  • publish the audio as part of any sound library, sound pack, sample pack, template pack, stock asset collection, dataset, or similar service
  • use the audio to train, build, fine-tune, or support any dataset, model, or system for audio generation, machine learning, or AI training, unless you have prior written permission from SFXVault
  • claim the audio as your own original standalone creation
  • register the audio in YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, TikTok rights systems, audio fingerprint databases, or similar automated rights-management or monetization systems
  • release the audio as your own standalone song, album track, soundtrack, music single, or similar standalone audio release
  • transfer the raw audio file to a client or third party for separate reuse outside the licensed project

Free vs. Subscriber Access

Free Sounds

Free sounds may be used in projects under this same License, unless a specific item states otherwise.

Attribution is not required, but appreciated.

Subscriber Sounds

Subscriber sounds may be used in your projects during an active subscription.

If a project using subscriber audio was lawfully created and published or delivered during your active subscription period, that completed project may remain online or continue to be used after your subscription ends.

However, once your subscription ends, you may not use previously downloaded audio in any new project, new client work, new campaign, new upload, newly launched media, or materially new production.

Attribution (Optional)

Attribution is not required.
