Impacts / Motion – Free Pack Ver.1.0 includes 15 WAV files across 5 motion and transition sound categories, with 3 variations for each sound type. This free pack is designed as an easy starter collection for the Impacts / Motion category on SFXVault.

Choosing Impact and Motion Sounds

Choose each sound according to the size and speed of the visual change. Fast swipes work well for quick camera moves, text entrances, and UI transitions, while soft whooshes suit slower reveals and smoother motion. Heavy impacts should be reserved for larger contact, title cards, drops, and moments that need a clear sense of weight.

Place the strongest transient on the exact frame of the visual event. A swipe should follow the direction of movement, a pop transition should land with the cut or reveal, and a short riser should build before the new element appears. Avoid stacking several large effects on the same frame unless the visuals clearly support that amount of force.

For creator videos and streams, keep routine transitions shorter and quieter than major scene changes. Use risers and heavier hits for chapter openings, announcements, and dramatic reveals, while lighter motion sounds can support repeated edits without becoming tiring. In games, use impact size to communicate the importance of the action or reward.
